Traveled from Melaka to Singapore. Didnt sleep, for the first time, throughout the journey. I reckon I should write down some resolutions for this year, so that whenever I do self-reflection(if i ever do any lar hor), I'll get to see how much I've changed for the better.
1. Improve my EQ.
Work towards a stable emotion,less defensive, more listening and patience. No more yelling when I'm pissed. No more vulgarities while quarreling online :/
2. To not bitch/gossip about people so much.
ok, i admit that i have problems kicking this habit of mine, but it is something which i find the most difficult to part with. come on, gossiping and bitching are what bond my friends and i together. so, it is definitely difficult to kick this habit entirely. but i have come to realize that there is a difference between healthy bitching and unhealthy bitching. healthy bitching: bitch when necessary, and not tarnish that person’s reputation. unhealthy bitching: bitch like nobody’s business, as if you are always right, and this form of bitching ruins your reputation the most. ok i admit, i have always been performing the latter form of bitching, but i have been trying to transit to the former form of bitching, which till date is quite successful. so yep, NO MORE UNHEALTHY BITCHING!

3. More patience and love to mommy
If I can treat my friends well, why can't I treat my own mommy equally well? :/
4. Go home more often
So that I don't have to feel guilty whenever darren's back and I have to straddle between Seremban and Melaka! HAHA okay it's true but I would also love to spend more time with my family and pudding.
okayyy that's kinda all.
I'll leave "lead a humane sleeping pattern" till next year, when I m no longer a JCRC and is free from obligation to attend meetings at odd hours.

The time traveler's wife
Watched time traveler's wife today. I liked the concept, but I wasn't convinced. I hope it could have been more clearly explained. Or maybe I'm just too stupid to understand the movie. HAHA.
I do feel a lot for Claire though.
Because I'm kinda like a time traveler's wife too - not seeing mr.boyfriend often, not knowing when he's gonna pop by again. I'm so much luckier than Claire. At least I won't suddenly see him appearing out of nowhere, naked and shot. at least we get to talk on the phone. at least he says goodbye whenever he leaves.
Tho I don't always get to see mr. boyfriend, but everytime we meet, it is the best damn feeling ever. :)
Guess this is what makes me hang on for so long. because I know we'll pull through. Just like how Claire and Henry did.

I am so proud of you
Maybe too many things have been happening that I know I've got so much to write about but do not know where to start. Instead of singing, I was reflecting on all the things I experienced in the past 3 months and the things learnt, during my shower.
Today Rizal asked me about you. and I told him you've got a job and are currently working. He said he's really really proud of you. I could feel the sincerity. really.
and that's when I realized I have yet to tell you how much I'm proud of you too.
My trip to Europe was meant to attend your graduation. Yet I've had the amazing good fortune to tour around Europe at the same time and celebrated my 21st birthday in Paris. I was too busy enjoying myself till your Big day had turned into yet just another moment of my Europe trip.
I meant to tell you how much you've made everyone proud. Your family, me, and my family too. I have not been through everything with you through out the 5 years of hardship but I certainly know you have worked really hard. Life has not been rosy, nor easy,but you face it with strength and a will to succeed.
You did it.
I am so proud of you. :)

Fly with me to Rome
So many people have asked, 'so among all the european countries that you have visited, which one is your favourite?'
Until today, I will still make Rome my definite answer.
I had the amazing good fortune to make Rome my first destination of my Europe trip. The sight of Colosseum when I first stepped out of the metro station took my breath away. That was when I fell in love with the eternal city.
Our tour guide said, to admire the beauty of Rome, you need to make great use of your imagination. Through imagination, I have seen the city's glorious past. I was truly inspired.
most of the cafes offer set meals. we usually shared a set.
you see snack cars everywhere in Rome. Selling sandwiches. Paninis. cold drinks. and bad gelato.
my first gelato in Italy. it was =.=
3 euros for 5 scoops of flavoured and coloured shaved ice.
The Basilica San Giovanni. the oldest and ranks first among the four patriarchal churches of Rome. it is the head of all churches throughout Rome and the world. But surprisingly it was not too popular a spot for the tourists.

I would say it has one of the most beautiful interior among the churches that we had visited.
My first truly Italian dinner! :D
Rome's metro system is one of the oldest in the world. The trains are full of graffiti and the platform is old and dirty.
my first sight of the Colosseum.My first sight of the other side of Rome. It instantly made me forget how dirty and smelly the streets and the metro stations are.
The Arco Di Constatino. smaller compared to the arc de triomphe in France, but standing in a graceful simplicity.
In the Colosseum. seeing the part that was destroyed during an earthquake in the past.

where the gladiators and the animals were kept, and provoked before the performances.
If you watched gladiator, you would have thought a gladiator could fight with more than one animal at once, which is so not gonna happen back in those days during a performance. In reality, only one-on-one fights are allowed - a gladiator vs a tiger, a lion vs an elephant. so as to ensure the fairness of the game.
This was where the emperor sat to enjoy the blood spilling all over the arena during a gladiator fight.
Now, imagine this was once the private theater in the palace for the royal family on the Palatine Hill.
and this was their bath house.
Told ya we need alot of imagination! :D
The circo massimo. How i wish it wasn't destroyed completely, and retained more evidence of its former use.

Via Sacra that hosted many deeds and misdeeds of Roman history.
The Pantheon.
Greek architectual for its facade, Roman for its body - the biggest dome in the world.
It's not covered! Rain water could go into the Pantheon and sipped out through the tiny holes on the floor.

Piazza Navona - this would be looking very familiar to you if you've watched the movie Angels and Demons :D
The famous Spanish Steps.
People were enjoying the sun and the splashing sound of the fountain water.
one of the most expensive streets in the world wohooo~ you could get your LV here if not in France. everything else that is expensive of course.
best risotto we've ever tried, throughout our stay in Italy.
only 1 shrimp though! kiam siap lar.
This is definitely on the list of my favourite dessert! :D
Pana Cotta, made of milk and cream with chocolate syrup on top. OMG super nice! must order!
Not forgetting the very very famous Fontana di Trevi. If I lived there, this would definitely be my favourite hang out place because it was so extremely beautiful at night. :)
